How to help
ALONG WITH US
young adult community
The Welcome Home began in 1993 and has just begun it's 25th year in Winnipeg's Point Douglas Neighbourhood. Each year young adults from Across North American join our community to serve the most abandoned.
We rely on volunteers to make most of our programs run. We would not be able to do half of what we do if it weren’t for our dedicated volunteers. We are always looking for more people to help us run programs and to work behind the scenes to make things run smoothly
The Welcome Home is about being “church” today. It invites all of us to see with the eyes of faith the presence of Christ in others, especially those most in need of God’s compassion and love.
The Welcome Home
- a mission of St. Alphonsus
The Welcome Home expresses what Pope Francis says the Church is about: warming hearts and healing hurts. We work to always be inclusive of those who can be overlooked, the poor and the most abandoned.
